Oasis Water Coolers Troubleshooting

Oasis water coolers are one of the best known water cooler brands in the world. Not only does Oasis make bottled water coolers, they also make pressure water coolers, otherwise called water fountains, coffee machines and purification systems. Gearing their products toward the business place, Oasis has made a big splash in the water industry, pun intended. Sometimes, unfortunately, Oasis coolers do go wrong.

Warm Water

If the water in your cooler is coming out warm, check to make sure the unit has not been unplugged. It is easy for a unit to become unplugged in a busy office environment. If it is plugged in, determine how many people are using the unit. Most Oasis water coolers cool 4.5 litres of cold water an hour. If more than that is being used, allow the cooler time to cool.

Hot Tank

Many Oasis coolers also have a hot water tap, which is ideal for tea or instant coffee. If you are having issues with the water coming out or coming out tasting a bit nasty, you may need to clean the hot water tank. Sometimes, this solves water in the cold tank being warm as well. If the tank needs cleaning, put in 125 grams of citric acid crystals into 1 litre of hot water. Disconnect the power cable and drain the water from the hot water tank until it is coming out cool. Remove the bottle from the cooler and drain all the water from the reservoir. Place a bucket under the black drain valve located at the back of the cooler. Turn the valve to closed and fill the hot water reservoir from above with the citric acid and water solution. You will need a funnel to do this. Pour the water in the funnel and allow the solution to sit for two minutes. Empty, rinse and replace the bottle.

No Water

If not water is coming out of the tap, check to make sure the water bottle is full. If it is, you may have an air bubble trapped in the tank. Try lifting up the water cooler bottle to quickly allow any air to escape. Check to make sure the unit is pouring water. If it is not, try this method two or three more times. If the issue persists, check to make sure there is nothing clogging the bottle of the water bottle well by lifting it out.
